Dhaka Fire

There was a massive fire outbreak across the slums in the Chalantika region in Mirpur district, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Although fortunately there has not been any harm to life in this episode, it is reported that about ten thousand houses have burnt down. The cause of this fire outbreak is yet to be known. The sources from Bangladesh are said to be investigating on the matter.

There are more than a thousand slums in the Chalantika region in Dhaka, where the fire broke out on Friday night. The fire spread quickly due to the plastic covers on the rooftops of the houses, and within a span of only a few minutes, thousands of homes got destroyed. Since it’s the festive season there, most of the families had gone out of town. Hence, any harm to people was averted.
