Heavy Rains and floods in Punjab
Five civilians have been killed due to heavy rains in Punjab. Along with Punjab, the livelihood in Rajasthan is also facing difficulties.
The constant shower of rains over the past few days has lambasted Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Rajasthan as well. A wall of a house in Ludhiana, Punjab collapsed and killed three civilians. Since about 1,89,940 Cusecs of water was released from Ropar, several connecting regions have been flooded with water. Thus, the residents of these regions have been moved to a safe zone. The medical and health systems/department has also been warned to stay cautioned due to excess of rains. The villagers are being moved safely from the Anandpur Sahib and the Noorpur Bedi block. The NDRF personnel have undertaken the responsibility of moving the civilians. Moreover, the civilians staying in the residential area are also being transferred to safer places, as the Sutlej river has flooded.
